    Follow the pattern

Follow the pattern is a series of works representing a particular vision about giving up our personal identity in behalf of following diverse patterns of behaviour.
Patterns that are often dictated by the media, by ideologies, but also by our own fears.
Based upon an iconography that represents the femenine world, the masculine world and the nature as generator of life and growth these series of works have been generated following a pattern.Three colours characterize the art pieces and emphasizes their content: the colour black as metaphor of power, of violence ,of the end; the colour white as metaphor of purity, of innocence, of the beginning; and the colour pink as metaphor of evasion, of fake reality, of the superficial.

Poor butterfly & Wild is the wind

Music is sometimes a vehicle for evasion, for introspection and creation to me. These two paintings reflect my inner world while listening to the songs “Poor Butterfly”,performed by Sarah Vaughan and “Wild is the wind” by Nina Simone.
