Till taught by pain
This installation represents the close dependency to water of diverse elements which, directly or indirectly, are part of the evolution and daily functioning of our society. 20 balloons filled with helium represent this fragil relationship and drag after some days the delicate cutouts down to the floor symbolizing the lack of balance and the collapse of the system.
A quote by Lord Byron (1788 - 1824) is written with papercut letters on 52 bottles:
“Till taught by pain, Men really know not what good water is worth.” Lord Byron. Don Juan (canto II, st. 84)
