Dreams - 450

This installation is a tribute to Emily Dickinson (1830 - 1886) and her poem 450 “Dreams are well, but Waking’s better…”.
The installation consisted of several elements all created with paper (papercuts, digital print on paper and origami flowers and butterflies)that were set up in a restaurated convent in the island of Mallorca (Claustro de Santo Domingo, Inca). The 28 m long exhibition space is isloated form the outside by thick walls and natural light comes in only through small windows alligned at one side of the space. These architectual charcteristics emphasized the content of this work dedicated to Emily Dickinson who lived inmensly retired in her house and dedicated to her inner life.
