Till taught by pain
This installation represents the close dependency to water of diverse elements which, directly or indirectly, are part of the evolution and daily functioning of our society. 20 balloons filled with helium represent this fragil relationship and drag after some days the delicate cutouts down to the floor symbolizing the lack of balance and the collapse of the system.
A quote by Lord Byron (1788 - 1824) is written with papercut letters on 52 bottles:
“Till taught by pain, Men really know not what good water is worth.” Lord Byron. Don Juan (canto II, st. 84)Exhibition history

Dreams - 450
This installation is a tribute to Emily Dickinson (1830 - 1886) and her poem 450 “Dreams are well, but Waking’s better…”.
The installation consisted of several elements all created with paper (papercuts, digital print on paper and origami flowers and butterflies)that were set up in a restaurated convent in the island of Mallorca (Claustro de Santo Domingo, Inca). The 28 m long exhibition space is isloated form the outside by thick walls and natural light comes in only through small windows alligned at one side of the space. These architectual charcteristics emphasized the content of this work dedicated to Emily Dickinson who lived inmensly retired in her house and dedicated to her inner life.Exhibition history

1 + Images
This installation shall reflect on the tremendous visual impact that kids have by media and television. Kids are becoming consumer of images instead of creating their own visual universe. A canvas with an image of a teddy bear was nailed to the wall and physically manipulated slides with images from television where projected on it in short sequences.
Spectator where invited to draw on chalkboard dots creating their own images. Arround the mirror displayed in one of the exhibition walls you could read a quote from Kurt Schwitters:
“Art is a spiritual function of man, which aims at freeing him from life’s chaos.”
